For Electrical Contractors

Turn Maintenance Visits Into a Compliance Product.

Your clients need NFPA 70B compliance programs. Most of them don't have one. You have the expertise. MaintenancePulse gives you the platform to deliver documented, scored, shareable compliance programs — and recurring revenue to go with it.

Your Clients Need a Compliance Program. You Can Provide It.

NFPA 70B is mandatory. Most facilities don't have a compliant maintenance program. Most electrical contractors do the maintenance but deliver no documentation that proves it.

That's a gap you can fill. With MaintenancePulse, you can offer your clients a structured compliance program — equipment registry, condition assessments, maintenance logs, and a shareable compliance score — on top of the maintenance work you're already doing.

That's not a commodity service. That's a differentiated offering with real recurring value.

Why Contractors Use MaintenancePulse
Retain clients longer — when you're managing their compliance program, switching contractors means losing their history
Command higher rates — compliance documentation is a service, not a commodity. Charge accordingly.
Win new clients — offer a PulseCheck assessment as a door-opener with new facility prospects
Cover your liability — documented maintenance protects you when clients claim work wasn't done

Two Ways to Work with MaintenancePulse

Whether you want to use it for your own operations or deliver it as a service to clients, there's a model that fits.

Model 1
Use It for Your Client Work

You manage the MaintenancePulse account for your client. You do the assessments, log the maintenance, and generate the compliance reports. The client gets the value. You get the stickiness.

  • You control the account, they view the reports
  • Share scorecards with their insurance broker on their behalf
  • Your technicians use the mobile app to log maintenance in the field
  • Generate full EMPs for engineering submissions
Model 2
Offer It as a Compliance Service

Package MaintenancePulse as a compliance program service. Monthly or annual retainer. You provide setup, ongoing assessment, and report generation. They pay for the program, not just the maintenance hours.

  • Recurring revenue on top of your maintenance contracts
  • Annual compliance report as a deliverable
  • Differentiated from competitors who only do the physical work
  • Talk to us about contractor partner pricing

What It Looks Like in Practice

1
You assess a new client facility

Walk through the facility. Enter equipment into the registry — or import from a spreadsheet. For each asset, complete the guided NFPA 70B condition assessment: physical condition, environmental condition, criticality. Takes 1–3 hours depending on facility size.

2
The platform generates a compliance score and maintenance schedule

Based on your assessment, MaintenancePulse calculates a facility compliance score (0–100) and sets condition-based maintenance intervals for every asset. Condition 1 = every 5 years. Condition 3 = every year. The schedule is automatic.

3
Your techs log maintenance in the field

When your team performs maintenance, they log it in the mobile app: pass/fail, notes, photos. Each event is timestamped and attributed. The compliance score updates automatically. Nothing can be retroactively altered.

4
You deliver a compliance report to the client

At renewal time or on request, generate a compliance scorecard (2–4 pages) or full Equipment Maintenance Plan (300–1,000+ pages). Share directly with their insurance broker via a secure link. This is your deliverable — and it's something their previous contractor never gave them.

Built for the Way Contractors Work

Mobile-First Field Logging

Your technicians see what's due, log what they did, and take photos — all from their phone. No laptop. No paper forms. No transcription errors back at the office.

Professional Reports as Deliverables

Generate compliance scorecards and full EMPs. PDFs your clients can hand to their broker or auditor — with your work documented inside. Differentiated from any contractor who just does the physical work.

Complete Audit Trail

Every maintenance event is logged, timestamped, and attributed. If a client disputes whether work was done, you have an immutable record with dates, technician names, and notes.
